Masks For Dry Hair

The prepared dry hair masks, with natural ingredients, are very easy to prepare and are free from many chemical agents. In addition, they have a powerful effect that nourishes and hydrates the hair, from roots to ends, when used regularly, in conjunction with a good shampoo and conditioner.

Dry hair is a very common trend in many people that is related to all kinds of factors: from environmental to genetic. Even life habits are significant. Now, when it comes to solving this aesthetic problem, you don’t always have to look for elaborate alternatives or expensive treatments, you can resort to certain homemade tricks.

The best mask recipes for dry hair

The ingredients found in the following dry hair masks are foods whose nutrients and texture bring life to the hair, in a few minutes. If we look a little at the labels, we will see that many of the beauty products for hair care are inspired by the properties of certain foods, such as oils.

1. Olive oil and egg

To prepare this mask you just need to beat an egg with a tablespoon of olive oil. Some people add a little mayonnaise to reinforce the mixture, but that will depend on the taste of each one.

Once the mask is ready, it is applied to dry hair. It is left to act for at least 15 minutes, and after this time, it should be rinsed with water and the usual shampoo.

2. Avocado, olive oil and egg

This mask also contains egg and olive oil, but a very beneficial ingredient is also added: avocado. To prepare it, mix a tablespoon of oil, the pulp of an avocado and the egg yolk. Finally, everything is beaten very well until it forms a homogeneous paste and is applied in the same way as the previous option.

3. Honey and banana (or banana)

These two ingredients are very easy to find at home and, in addition, they have a very pleasant aroma. To prepare the mask, the banana is peeled and crushed, until it becomes a kind of puree, and is mixed with three heaping tablespoons of honey. Additionally, you can add a few drops of almond oil.

For this mask to take effect, it is necessary to leave it to act on dry hair for at least 30 minutes, and then rinse the hair as usual. It would be convenient if, once washed, a couple of drops of almond oil be added to the tips.

4. Natural yogurt and egg

To prepare this mask for dry hair, it is necessary to mix about six tablespoons of natural yogurt, without sugar, approximately, and an egg white beaten until stiff. Then, it is applied to dry hair and left on for at least 20-25 minutes. After rinsing, you will notice your hair much softer.

5. Almond oil

Almonds are a product widely used in beauty treatments, be it hair, nails or skin. In this case, you should only have a few drops of its oil and heat them for a few seconds in the microwave. You can apply both after washing on the ends or, as a mask before it. Both ways will be very beneficial. .

6. Honey and olive oil

To prepare this mask, you will need half a cup of honey and three tablespoons of olive oil. Put everything in a bowl and mix well until you get a smooth paste. Apply to all hair, from roots to ends. Make sure that each strand is well covered.

Once you have made the application, put on a hat or plastic bag and leave it on for an hour before rinsing it off with warm water and your usual shampoo.

7. Aloe vera

This is one of the simplest dry hair masks to do. You will need two stems of aloe vera or aloe, which you will have to cut longitudinally to be able to extract all its pulp. Put it in a container and add three tablespoons of your usual conditioner.

Blend the entire mixture for five minutes and apply to the scalp using circular massages. As in the previous case, you can put on a plastic cap while you perform. After 30 minutes, remove the mask with water and shampoo.

8. Soybean and castor oils

Like the almond oils mask, this can also be applied both before and after washing the hair. To prepare it, you will only need to mix a  teaspoon of soybean oil and two of castor oil, and heat the mixture over low heat for a few seconds. 

Apply warm to the scalp using slow and circular massages. Then, wrap your hair with a towel and leave for approximately 15 minutes. Then wash off your regular-use shampoo with water.

All these masks for dry hair can be alternated, although the ideal is to maintain the regular use of one or two of them, to get used to their aroma and method of preparation. Its effect, coupled with good hydration and eating habits, will help to achieve a strong, shiny and, above all, healthy mane.
