Pizza Tacos

No one can deny that pizza is delicious and can be eaten on any occasion. If you are looking for an alternative to this already international dish, then you can try making pizza tacos. An excellent combination between a recipe from Mexico and another from Italy.

Pizza tacos recipe # 1

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of ground meat (can be beef, lamb, etc)
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • ¾ cup of water
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 roll of pizza dough
  • 3 cups tortilla strips

  • Then bake the pizza dough and reserve.
  • Spread the meat well with seasoning.
  • On top, place the tortilla strips and the grated cheese and return to the oven for 5 minutes (until the cheese is melted).
  • Remove from the oven and spread the fresh ingredients (tomato slices, lettuce pieces, etc).
  • Pour in the sour cream before serving.

What do you need?

  • Tortillas for Mexican tacos
  • Cooked ground chicken
  • 1 tomato
  • ½ green pepper
  • ½ onion
  • 1 stick of celery
  • Tomato sauce to taste
  • Corn to taste
  • a pinch of salt
  • Mozzarella cheese required quantity

How do I prepare it?

  • To start, first cut all the vegetables into small cubes.
  • Then heat a tablespoon of oil in a frying pan and fry first the onion and pepper, then the celery and finally the tomato.
  • Then add two tablespoons of tomato sauce and a little water to form a sauce.
  • Continue and salt to taste, add oregano and a pinch of sugar so that there is no acid.
  • Go ahead and let everything cook well and reserve.
  • Then take the tacos or tortillas and spread a little of the tomato sauce on each one.
  • Then place the ground chicken meat, corn, mozzarella cheese on top and roll (you can also do it without rolling to make it look more like a pizza).
  • If you have rolled them, follow the recipe: Arrange one next to the other in an already greased square or rectangular mold.
  • Before finishing, bathe the tacos with salsa, then chicken meat, corn, mozzarella and oregano.
  • Lastly, bake for 15 minutes until the cheese melts.

What do you need?

  • 250 grams of uncooked peeled shrimp
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1 can of black beans
  • 2 cups of grated cheese
  • 2 cups of chopped lettuce
  • ½ cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 chopped avocado
  • ¼ cup onion cut into strips

How do you prepare?

  • First spread the chili powder over the shrimp and in a pan, sauté with a little oil for about 7 minutes (until the shrimp are pink).
  • Then preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  • Go ahead and spread vegetable spray on a baking sheet and spread the pizza dough there, also on the sides of the pan.
  • Then sauté the beans and spread over the dough (leaving a centimeter of dough uncovered).
  • Then sprinkle the cheese on top and bake for about 15 minutes until melted.
  • Before finishing, remove from the oven and cover the dough with the shrimp, tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, onion and cilantro.
  • Finally I will be using your favorite sauce on top.

    Although this recipe has shrimp as the main meat, you can use another type of meat to your liking. You can even turn it into a vegetarian recipe and not add meat! Try to make the pizza dough as thin as possible or use Mexican tortillas to make your pizza tacos look better. As for the sauce, it can be spicy, tabasco, for nachos, for tacos, sour cream, ketchup, soy sauce … or whatever comes to mind.
